Empowering Women in Yamoransa Through Liquid Soap Making
At The Duala Foundation, we believe that empowerment begins with opportunity. Our team has been working with the incredible women of Yamoransa, a vibrant community in Ghana’s Central Region, to train them in liquid soap production, a practical and income-generating skill that holds the power to transform lives.
For many women in Yamoransa, access to steady employment or reliable income sources can be challenging. By equipping them with the knowledge and skills to produce and market liquid soap, we are helping them create sustainable livelihoods that can support their families, fund their children’s education, and build financial independence.
The training focused on hands-on learning, from understanding safe chemical handling to mastering the perfect soap mixture and packaging for sale. Beyond learning the craft itself, participants gained valuable insights into basic business management, including cost calculation, branding, and sales strategies.
To ensure that the knowledge doesn’t end with the training session, the Duala Foundation has developed a comprehensive training manual. This manual serves as an easy-to-follow guide for participants to reference as they continue to practice and perfect their soap-making skills at home or in small business groups.
We are proud of the enthusiasm and dedication shown by the women of Yamoransa. Each batch of liquid soap represents not just cleanliness, but confidence, capability, and community resilience.
At The Duala Foundation, our mission is to empower through education, skills, and innovation. We invite you to support our work so we can continue reaching more communities, uplifting more women, and building a brighter, self-sustaining future for all.
Join us. Support empowerment. Support The Duala Foundation.
