NYANSA VILLAGE ENTERPRISE

Empowering Communities Through Locally Owned Ventures

The Duala Foundation is proud to introduce Nyansa Village Enterprise, a social business initiative established in Yamoransa to create sustainable income opportunities and promote local entrepreneurship.

Nyansa Village Enterprise serves as the business arm of The Duala Foundation, a hub where innovation, culture, and community development meet. Through this initiative, we produce and market a range of locally made products, including:

  • High-nutrient Kenkey varieties such as Moringa, Soybean, and Red Millet Kenkey

  • Liquid soap, made by women trained through our livelihood programs

  • Children’s storybooks, written and illustrated by young talents from Yamoransa under the inspiring project “From Yamoransa to the World.”

  • Handcrafted items, such as beautiful baskets and traditional crafts

Beyond these, Nyansa Village Enterprise will also equip them with skills to enable them venture into areas such as horticulture services, beekeeping, shoemaking, bakery, and upcycling of waste materials under our Green Club initiative. giving local youth and women opportunities to beautify homes and public spaces while earning fair wages.

A physical shop will be established in Yamoransa, serving as a vibrant display center where all our products will be available for purchase. This space will not only showcase local creativity but also stand as a testament to the community’s resilience and innovation.

At the heart of Nyansa Village Enterprise is our commitment to improving the livelihoods of the people of Yamoransa, especially women. A portion of the proceeds from sales will be shared directly with the women who contribute to production and support The Duala Foundation’s Community Endowment Fund, ensuring long-term sustainability for our social impact programs.

Through Nyansa Village Enterprise, we are not just building a business; we are building futures, empowering families, and transforming Yamoransa one product at a time.
